Bright Futures Counseling & Autism Therapy Center

Jennifer Schrage is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and a certified P.E.E.R.S social skills provider.  I received my Masters of Science in Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University in June, 2012.  I am the mother of a child on the autism spectrum, who understands the unique issues that families impacted by autism spectrum disorders often face.  My background is in working with children, adolescents, adults and families with autism, anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger/aggression/tantrums, adjustment issues, conflict resolution, oppositional defiant disorder, and conduct disorder.  In addition to counseling I offer a social skills program for elementary aged kids (5-12) SCORE program, and adolescent aged kids (12-18) P.E.E.R.S program.  I am committed and passionate to providing quality services as a counselor.

My treatment methods are individualized, because I believe that each individual is unique.  My theoretical foundation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and can be tailored to fit the needs of each individual.  Additionally, Behavioral Therapy is utilized to fit the needs of children on the spectrum, and can be combined with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to make it more individualized to the individual.
